art and futures

Our Story

A Touch Of Class Fine Art was founded by George and Pamela Taylor.  With their great love for art and especially for new, up and coming Artists, they created a venue to be able to highlight art in a new and special way.

We only work with Artists who have extreme personality disorders, or other types of disabilities which prohibit them from taking their Creations to Market. One such Artist, Ely Legerdemain who is our featured artist. “L” as he likes to be referred to has been painting for about 3 years.  He is totally self taught, and he has been working on his art skills for 15 to 20 hours a day for the last three years.  He is obsessive compulsive so once he started doing drawings he was soon hooked into living, breathing art every waking hour.  He is highly reclusive and cannot even be around more than one or two people at a time and then only for a short period of time.

When “L” first started to paint, he had to make his own paint out of coffee and candy.  He had no paint brushes so he used the end of a pen cap and his fingers to create most of his early art.

That is why we started both Touch of Class and Khaos Art, so that we could help provide these artists with supplies like paint and brushes, as well as basic living needs.  Most of the canvases are also made from towels or sweatshirts, some are art paper stock which we now provide.

We are passionate about recognizing and supporting the many talented artists that we have and are helping over the hurdle that they face of social interaction. Through these events we are able to highlight their talent, their art and bring new artists to the forefront who would otherwise be written off. We believe in them and that the showcasing of these artist and their art is therapeutic and can be used as a part of the counseling and healing process. We hope you enjoy the art and the thought of knowing the impact you are making into a life of another.

We are exceedingly grateful for the support we receive from the community, especially those businesses, community members and organizations who are sponsoring the opportunity to bring these artists into the light.
